Export a Jira fix version as a release report — release statistics, an issue-type breakdown, and release notes your customers can actually read.

How to export a release​

  1. Open the project's releases (fix versions).
  2. Select a version, open Exportelier and choose the release context.
  3. Pick a template and format.
  4. Select Export.

What a release report contains​

  • Release statistics for the version.
  • An issue-type breakdown (stories, bugs, tasks, etc.).
  • Release notes suitable for external readers.

Tips​

  • Maintain a customer-facing release-notes template separate from an internal one.
  • Export to Markdown to paste release notes into a wiki or website — see Markdown output.
