Does my Jira data ever leave Atlassian?
Not from the main app. Exportelier renders documents entirely on Atlassian Forge — no external fetch, no webtriggers, no third-party servers. Only the optional Exportelier Automation app sends anything out (email, webhooks), and it's a separate install you can simply not use.
Can I export to Word (DOCX) or Excel (XLSX)?
PDF, Word and Markdown are available today, including in Free. Word Template Mode fills your branded .docx with Jira data. Excel (XLSX) is planned for V1.3 and is not part of V1.2; see the roadmap for its release status.
Are generated documents stored anywhere?
Not persistently. Ordinary exports are streamed straight to your browser. Background jobs — large result sets and every report export — have to park the finished document somewhere for you to fetch, so it goes to temporary storage, is deleted the moment you download it, and expires after an hour if you don't. Nothing is kept beyond that. The audit log keeps metadata about export events (who, what, when) — never document content.
Two of us exported the same report and got different documents. Is that a bug?
No — that is the intended behaviour. A report export reads Jira as the person who started it, never as the app and never as the person who built the report. Each of you sees exactly the issues your own Jira permissions allow. An app that returned identical documents regardless of who asked would be showing someone data Jira denies them. Can Exportelier import my Jira dashboards?
Yes, within stated limits. Dashboard import reads a dashboard's configuration through Atlassian's documented API and rebuilds it as an ordinary editable report. Filter Results, Pie Chart, Work Item Statistics, Two Dimensional Filter Statistics and Created vs. Resolved are supported; Sprint Burndown is not yet; third-party gadgets are named and excluded rather than silently dropped. Because Atlassian does not guarantee that every built-in gadget's settings are readable, you may have to pick a filter or a field yourself — Exportelier asks rather than guesses. The import is a snapshot: filter data stays live, but layout and configuration change only when you explicitly re-import. It is not a screenshot or a pixel copy.
Does it handle custom fields, Tempo and Jira Service Management?
Yes. A field-renderer registry covers standard and third-party custom field types, with a safe fallback so unknown fields still render. Worklog tables include a Tempo mirror mode for timesheet-style output, and JSM tickets render request types, SLAs and approvals.
How does Exportelier Automation pricing work?
It's a free Marketplace install with no separate subscription — it unlocks with an active Standard entitlement, including the $0 Standard tier for eligible small sites. It exists as a second app deliberately: it carries all external traffic so the main app can guarantee your data never leaves Atlassian.
Which languages does the interface support?
Full English and German, plus Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.
