Installing Exportelier

Exportelier ships as two separate Forge apps: the main app (everything that renders documents, with no external network access) and the optional Exportelier Automation app (scheduling, email, webhooks and API). You can install either independently.

Install the main app

  1. In Jira, open Apps → Explore more apps.
  2. Search for Exportelier and open the listing.
  3. Select Get app, choose the site, and confirm.

Because it is a Forge app, it installs into your own Atlassian tenant. Installation typically completes in under a minute.

Install the optional Automation app

Install Exportelier Automation only if you need scheduled exports, email delivery, webhooks or the API. It is a free Marketplace install and unlocks with an active Standard or Pro entitlement, including the $0 Standard tier for eligible small sites. If your security policy forbids outbound traffic, simply leave it uninstalled — the main app keeps working with no external calls.

Required permissions and scopes

During installation Atlassian shows the scopes the app requests (for example, reading issues and project metadata). Exports always run with your permissions, so users only ever see issues they can already browse. Review Permissions & roles for details.

Updating

Forge apps update through Atlassian. Major versions appear in the version dropdown of this documentation so you can read the docs that match your installed version.

Uninstalling

Uninstall from Apps → Manage apps in Jira. On uninstall, your templates and audit log are removed with the app. Generated documents were never stored, so there is nothing else to clean up. See Data retention & GDPR.
