Project-scoped templates

Project-scoped templates will limit a template's visibility to specific projects, so each team sees only the templates that are relevant to them. This capability is planned for Pro V1.2 and marked Soon.

Not available at launch

Pro is planned for V1.2 and is shown as Soon. Project-scoped templates are not available in the launch version.

Why scope templates​

  • Keep each project's export pickers focused and uncluttered.
  • Let teams own their own document designs.
  • Reduce the risk of using the wrong template.

Planned project scope​

For Pro V1.2, template management is planned to let administrators assign a template to one or more projects. The launch version has no project-scope selector.

Migration from global templates​

When the feature ships, existing global templates will keep working and can be scoped gradually as teams take ownership. See Managing templates.
